February 3, 2021…..Getting a late start on my three (3) pages today. Started this Blog and trying to get through a learning curve so not sure how it is going to come out, if at all. I started this Blog, rambling with not too much of interest to any one, just my thoughts. It is probably very confusing, but until I learn this new “system”, I am just going to write. I am going to start typing “My Story” content in bold letters, and my rambling will be in plain type. I had signed up for a web seminar with Jay Shetty for a 5 day course and today was the first day. Very informative and was very timely for my new start. Building Habits was the main topic today, which sparked my attention and spent alot of time, fine tuning my goals that I have set for myself. I have had conversations with good friends who are in the same age group as myself and we are all doing the same thing…..going through pictures, sorting, purging….and lots of tears. Are family does not need to be going through our “stuff”, wondering, “who are these people?” or “why did she hold on to this stuff?” It’s bad enough that I am trying to remember some of these photos myself!
I treasure the ones of my Dad and/or Mom as I don’t have very many. After my Dad died, Jovita destroyed all of his personal items, photo albums included. Very grateful for the few momentos that I do have. The most precious are his Rosicrucian books and his Mason ring. I think of him often, probably several times a day….especially when I am in the kitchen cooking. Last night I made chicken adobo…..good, everyone was very happy, but I could taste that I should have put more vinegar in the pot. I feel his presence at times and believe that he is watching out for me…..especially when I am looking for a close parking spot to where I need to go. I was blessed to have him as my Daddy…..yes, even at my age I refer to him as my Daddy. He was my protector and only as an adult did I learn how much of a protector he was.
Didn’t get my 3 pages in today, but feel that the first day of the workshop was very beneficial and help me gain my ground going forward.
